Curious if anyone thinks that a shootout would be a more fun way to resolve a tie than 4v4 no goalies? League/Pool Play only, not for bracket/championship play. Thanks for your in put!

A couple of thoughts on this. For starters, I do believe, at least from a spectator stand point, there is more excitement and draw for an OT shootout than another modified period. We are all trying to grow interest in the sport and I feel this could certainly help draw more attention to games.

Secondly, I do agree that bracket games should be decided via actual game play, not a shootout.

I would like to see a 3 on 3 OT to start, with any penalties resulting in an extra player being added for the team on the PP (4 on 3 etc.).  This opens up play and will add skill, speed, and excitement.  The OT that removes the goalie needs to go away.  I understand games need to end at some point due to time constraints but goalies are a crucial part of the game.  The advantage of having a good goaltender are completely irrelevant when removing the position in the current OT format.

I second the idea for 3v3 w/ goalies to start.
