CHARM CITY POST TOURNEY

BY AJ IZZLE

Our second year hosting a tournament in Charm City has come and gone. Things went relatively smoothly. There was tremendous energy throughout the entire weekend. Patterson Park After Dark: The Revenge really came to play. They kicked off the tournament Friday night with a 6-0 victory and never looked back, ultimately hoisting the coveted Charm City Crab trophy.
Comprised of Baltimore and DC players, most of which started out playing half ice together, moving to full ice and eventually becoming travel teammates, and mixed with solid women including ones that don’t travel as often as the other 7 teams in the tournament. Their team took home two of the three individual awards, with Durland and Marple winning the most goals and most assists respectively. Theo from Controlled Chaos took home the top goalie award.
The CCBT was a success due to many factors; the teams that came to play, the volunteers who did a tremendous job working the clock and filming, the sponsors, and last but not least my Roadrunner crew. Without them putting on an event like this would be extremely difficult if not impossible.
The CCBT 2020 is going to be even bigger. We will announce on our Facebook page and Broomball Central when we secure the dates but the plan is to be the first weekend in March.
On behalf of everyone at Charm City Broomball we hope to see everyone come back next year.
